It's all in the details.  When you're planning your event, small details can seem major and more imporatant details might seem trivial.   A qualified event planner will guide you and keep you focused while also relieving you of the details that are the planner's responsibilty.  Good communication and open minds provide an enjoyable planning experience and ultimately a great event.

OFF to the It's your Party Expo !

Today was the 2nd of 3 Expos we were a part of. This one was in Sharon, MA at Temple Israel.
This is how the day started:
It was 6:30 am, with the light in the bathroom going out, going on, then out! Great no electricity, and I needed to shower and dry my hair. Now usually I would start to think this was a bad omen of things to come, but now that I think of it, I didn't really think of it! My husband got some flashlights, I showered with a shower cap, got dressed, ate something that didn't need to be heated and brushed my teeth. Then silly things happend, I decided that since it was so cold out I needed a hat, and becasue I was going to be greeting people, I didn't want the hat to flatten my hair. So I decided that I should put some hairspray on . I run upstairs in my coat and scarf, reach over for the spray ( which I very rarely use) and I started to spray, but it didn't smell right. The sun was just coming in enough through the shades to see I was spraying OFF onto my hair! Yup, OFF!! Okay, it's 5 degrees outside, I have to wash this out of my hair over the sink, and I can't use the hairdryer! So, I take my coat and scarf off, get the shampoo, put my head under the faucet and wash, towel dry the best I can, put my coat on, not the scarf (it smells like OFF still) and I go downstairs ready to go out into the freezing weather and... The lights come back on! Yes! I run back up and dry my hair, and then we leave.
   This is how it ended:
No bad things happened , it was a good show. The people running it were very nice and helpful, they were working hard to make everyone happy. We met a lot of nice people and we will definately do it again next year.
We picked up a pizza on the way home, fed the dog, and watched the Jets LOSE!!! to the Steelers. YES!!!!( We all know it should have been the Patriots playing this game)
So the moral of my story is... even though the day starts out a little "OFF", it can still have a happy ending!
Enoy the last week of January, stay warm and call us if your having a party!!!

The Reunion Committee

Get out your platforms and wide bottom flairs. With your hair like Farrah Fawcett, or in an Afro. It will be really COOL, to party with your classmates from your old high school!

We got together on a Thursday night to start the plans for our upcoming reunion. We started with questions, such as should it be in a hotel, a restaurant, a museum? How much do we charge? Day or night? Dress up, wear jeans, ...All these questions were asked plus many more. With ideas put to paper and jobs given out, we arranged another meeting to get the plans rolling.

With Facebook and email it's easy to find most, but you still have those diehards that only use post. For them we will have to look very hard, but maybe they don't want to be found? So with telephone in hand we will make a few calls, to find those we went to school with in 1976.

It is fun going through the old year book to see, those old familiar faces looking back at me. The hair the clothes, some have actually come back in style! Should the music we play be from back in the day? Those great rock tunes, a ”Little Stairway to Heaven”... will make the night familiar, even with people we haven't seen in years.

Getting people to come is not always easy, so try a save the date so traveling classmates can plan. The price should be reasonable, so keep the costs down. . You don't need a fancy meal, try light appetizers, then a buffet, you can pipe in the music instead of a DJ. Use the facilities linens, and maybe your school's color for napkins. When you send out a notice ask for some items to raffle, we've done it before with our talented classmates and made extra money to cover some costs.

Enjoy the whole process, it can really be fun! If you have any questions or need some assistance with your event, just call me or write me and I'll help if where I can.

Double bubble toil NO Trouble!

balloon sculptures for bar/bat mitzvah in ma ri ct boston and providence, bar mitzvah balloons, bat mitzvah balloons  Did you say spiders? They were large and black and they floated up high. Their webs were the colors of orange and lime. With their eyes of white they watched from above their egg sacks of orange and purple. The smallest spider sat at the bottom and held all of it's family from floating away.

If you didn't guess it I will tell you now, these spiders are made of latex and plastic, a clear bubble balloon held the spider's large body and the egg sacks were latex with bubble balloon shells. The webs they are the ribbons that connected the family, of cute little spiders out for a Halloween party!
