Hi Cupcake

Instead of a large cake, cupcakes are more popular than ever.  Cupcakes seem to be on every other food TV show.  Gold Events now has a custom designed table to display 500 cupcakes!  A great addition to any event, cupcakes are a fun dessert to compliment your catered meal.

Party Decorations

The decorations you choose for your party can set the mood for your event.  Just imagine the obvious differences between a wedding and a children's party.  Simply putting linens on tables and using plain printed seating cards sets a business like atmosphere one might expect at a business meeting; not a festive occasion.  Naturally your budget determines the extent of your decor, but your budget does not have to restrict your decorations as much as you may think.  The reaction of your guests entering a brightly decorated room contributes to the type of atmosphere you wish to achieve.  Your largest expense is the catering and the decor helps add more value to what you are spending. The Event Planner

In Linkedin a colleague asked if you were to describe your business in a poem, what would it say?  So, I decided to share it. Let me know what you think?

 

Event planning and decor is my game, Bonnie Gold is my name.
Bar/Bat-Mitzvahs, weddings and more, have I got amazing ideas galore!
Need entertaining, a DJ, a band, how about balloons, caterers or a hot dog stand?
Don't want to worry about your event, we will take care and you'll be content.
When linens are needed, and dishes are rented, and maybe your event is outside and tented.
We'll be there to make sure it all turns out right, with placecards, and favors and even the lights.
If your guest count is high, and you need to cut back, we'll make it work, but your day will not lack.

Tips! Have a great event without breaking the bank! Part 1-Entertainment

Don't break the bank to have a great event! Trying to save money while making a celebration can be a daunting task. Over the next couple of weeks or so I am going to run through the main services/vendors employed at an event to show you a few ways you can try to save a little. These postings will include advice and tips on the Event Organizer, the Photographer, the Caterer, the Decor and Flowers, and the Entertainment.

In this posting, I am going to start with the Entertainment.

 

Whether it's a DJ or a live Band, this is a big one. You want your guests up there dancing and having fun.

A band is great if they play a variety of music and have an MC. There are people of all ages at your wedding and while Lady Gaga may be all the rage, a little Glen Miller wouldn't hurt. You know for Uncle Lew and his wife Sally! Here is a selection of Glen Miller tracks to enjoy for good measure!

A DJ can do it all! They have any music you want, lights, an MC and some come with dancers to get your crowd moving, in case they are shy! DJ's have different packages depending on your needs.

Entertainment may also include a small quartet or flutist for a wedding ceremony, or a pianist for cocktail hour. There are professionals out there, that have cd's to listen to and websites where you can see them on video footage. Another option may be a local music school, there may be students that offer their services, or even instructors may play for you at a reasonable price.
