Bonnie's Blog - When it comes to parties and event planning.........    can we talk?

Temple Sinai(Cranston RI) Bar/Bat Mitzvah Expo

Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit Gold Events at this past Sunday's expo. We met many nice people and we hope we provided useful information and our sincere reasons why and how Bonnie and Gold Events can insure a successful party of any size, theme, or occasion.

The expo was a good chance to see some of Bonnie's centerpieces and creativity up close and of course to meet Bonnie (and Jerry) and to understand her professional commitment as an Event Planner.

Why should a potential client choose Gold Events over another vendor?

Why should a potential client choose Gold Events over another vendor?
That was the big question at a small gathering of my peers today.
The question was posed by Gigi Halsing of "Extra Hands For Your Events"
http://www.extrahandsforyourevents.com .
When she asked this question, she looked at us for an answer. I wasn't sure how to
This definitely is a question we SHOULD be able to answer.
Nancy Whalen from "Creative Papers, Ltd." http://www.invitationsbycreativepapers.com
has brought her invitation books to her client's homes. I think that is great service.
Gigi is able to determine how many servers you will need to help your event run smoothly.
They both are pleasant to speak with and nice to be around. They both genuinely
love their work. These are great qualities when hiring a vendor. If they love what they
do, then it reflects how they will do their job.
So, back to the question, "Why should a potential client hire Gold Events over our
Are we better than the competition, or just different? Could it be both?
I would like to say, that past clients have said we are great to work with
and have even exceeded their expectations!
That being said, we have come up with other reasons that make Gold Events the
company that sets us apart from our competitors. We love what we do, we are professional
and honest, we listen to our client's needs about the services they want, we are patient, we are
able to work within a budget, our client can trust that their event will not only look beautiful,
but will run smoothly, we use high quality items and vendors we trust, we are creative and
have endless ideas to make your event a success.
I know there are more reasons, like hand holding and keeping the theme a secret,
but for the most part, it is helping your client feel they are your only client, getting that special
individualized attention that they want and deserve.
I would love to hear what others think. So email me or give me a call.
"Gold Events, Bonnie speaking, how may I help you?

Bar/Bat Mitzvah show

Thank you Temple Israel, Sharon MA, for hosting their yearly Bar/Bat Mitzvah party expo. We had a great time meeting potential new clients and seeing other vendors in our industry.  Bonnie's custom crafted centerpieces and creative design ideas were beautifully displayed as many South Shore Jewish families gathered information for their upcoming simchot.  A common theme was the limited time most families could realistically spend on the physical aspects of a large family event and that hiring Gold Events was both practical, affordable, and the best way to really enjoy the special nature of this type of family gathering. Our next expo at Temple Sinai, Cranston RI, on Sunday January 29,2012.  See you there!

Happy new year!  As we all cautiously begin this new year, remember to focus your goals around the reason you work so hard. Your family, your loved ones, and your friends drive your ambitons, hopes and efforts.  Take the time to celebrate all that is good in your life!  We hope your 2012 calender is filled with weddings, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, parties, and reunions. Gold Events makes it easy to fulfill your goal.

Balloon Experts

As many of you will know, I work with Balloons....... you know, to make an event feel like a real party !

I just came across this "Balloon" Video that was so funny that I had to share it with you.

The Greatest Show On Legs 'balloon dance' caused a national outcry when it was aired in the UK in 1982. The dance involves 3 naked men dancing whilst swapping balloons to cover their genitalia.

Broadcast on a show called O.T.T., which was a late-night adult version of the anarchic children's show Tiswas and was on at 11.00pm on Saturday nights for one series in 1982.

Malcolm Hardee was the founder of Greatest Show On Legs and was one of the most colourful legends of alternative comedy, his Wiki page is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malcolm_Hardee
